Yoga as a lifestyle...

I stumbled into my very first yoga class, offered at a Lululemon, in my hometown of Portland, Oregon in 2010. It was love at first forward fold! Just by happenstance, Tiffany Cruikshank (founder of Yoga Medicine) was teaching that week and sparked an interest in teaching yoga in the future.

For the next 4 years I dove into "learning" yoga. Each class I took, each new style I tried, and each different teacher and their unique teaching style inspired me and further concreted in my mind that I had a calling to share yoga with others. I kept my sights set on Tiffany's Yoga Teacher Training.

After 10 years at a dead-end job, I decided to take the leap and follow my passion. I quit my job and signed up for Yoga Medicine's 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. In addition to that, I enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to get my certification as a Holistic Health Coach.

My teaching and coaching style is a mixture of cultivating strength, internally and externally, while allowing space for play. As a teacher, my main goal is to share the tools of yoga that will allow for a change on and off mat.

More about Yoga Medicine:

Yoga Medicine was created by Tiffany Cruikshank, not as a style of yoga, but rather a training that educates the teacher to understand the body and create individualized yoga programs for the student based on their understanding of the anatomy, biomechanics, physiology and the traditional practice of yoga.
